Wasn’t that chassis passed around to like 5 race teams? I think Fall Line owned it at one point. It was a really crude tube frame deal from what I remember and the cabin used to get so hot I think they actually withdrew from a race on one of the earlier weekends. Read more

There a ton more problems with BMW engines than even listed here. Going back to S14 spinning rod bearings every time you fired one up over 100k. Nikasil cylinders wearing out. Then there were the bad designs like putting rear sump oil pans with no front oil pickup into cars driven by enthusiasts. Read more

crests are where the road goes up and then back down sharply. It usually means you won’t be able to see over it or past it. 300 is the distance between say two corners. could be 50, 100, 1000, but it tells you how far apart two items are. Read more

I totally agree with your thoughts on the personalities. I do have a distinction between people who love cars and people that collect them.
