The Colonial Pipeline, America’s biggest gasoline pipeline, is back up and running as of this morning. It’s incredible to think that six days ago it had blown up.
This is the same 1.3 million-barrel-a-day pipeline that caused a massive gas shortage across the South in September and leaked 250,000 gallons of gasoline into Alabama. It then killed one of the workers trying to repair it just last week and injured five others.
Now, though, it’s back up and running as Bloomberg reports, though it will be several days before gas from the pipeline’s origin in Houston reaches its end point in Linden, New Jersey and service is fully back to normal.
