CES has been all about the future of cars this year, so it makes a fitting home for General Motors’ most serious entry into the all-electric car game ever. At last, meet the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt. It looks pretty good!

In fact, dare I say the production Bolt looks better than the somewhat awkward and ungainly Bolt concept that showed up at last year’s Detroit Auto Show. It’s definitely practical and down-to-earth, but sleek, and with several styling cues from newer Chevy cars like the hybrid Volt.

What do we know about it? So far, not a ton, except for two all-important figures: range and price. Chevy says it will cost around $30,000 after government incentives and get more than 200 miles of range on a single charge. It will also get an 80 percent charge in 60 minutes. (Read more details here, since the car leaked out a bit early on CNET last night.)

GM CEO Mary Barra also promises the car will be fun to drive and have the latest connectivity tech. And it can be serviced at your Chevy dealer, she said! What a swipe at Tesla that was.
