This concept based on the brilliant Citroën C4 Cactus is just the perfect third car to have in California. Or in his case, I guess the 300th.
It’s a pointless show car, Citroën will never be able to build anything like it. So what? The Frankfurt Motor Show was serious enough to take in a little bit of French playfulness.
What we have here is a Cactus with a ragtop packing two surf boards, as so many “fun” concepts before it. Honesly, who wouldn’t want to see Jay Leno on a surf board?
We already know that the C4 Cactus is a pretty capable all-rounder which is surprisingly fun to drive. I loved it, Stef loved it, and it’s by far the most unique design on sale in European today by any standard.
Since PSA has no intention to sell the Cactus in America or to put this concept into production, I say they should just ship this one-off to Jay’s wonderland.
It seems perfect for California.
Yet if you think California’s deserts deserve something beefier, there’s always the Aircross...
