The 2015 Hyundai Genesis Is What All Hyundais Will Look Like

If the Lincoln MKZ and Ford Fusion had nasty, incestual cousin sex, I'm sure its silently-judged-in-the-eyes-of-the-public offspring would look like the 2015 Hyundai Genesis. That said, it's a fine automobile that feels pretty swanky on the outside.

I've been at the Detroit auto show all day and I've feel like I've seen a dozen cars that look like the Genesis, which was just revealed here officially. Rounded roofline, angled A-pillar, sharp ass, long hood. However, Hyundai executives say the Genesis 2.0 represents Hyundai's "Fluidic Design 2.0" — their new design direction.

The biggest difference between old Hyundai Genesis and the new 2015 Hyundai Genesis has to be the hexagonal grille. Are you ready for a Veloster with the same grille? It'll probably happen.

Exterior aside, I got up close and personal inside the Genesis and this is where Hyundai excels. (Ohhhh!) It's fine, supple leather, an almost airtight cabin, real wood accents and soft-to-touch materials in all the right places. In other words, it's a true luxury contender for the discerning buyer. And in a pre-emptive strike against brand snobbery, the Hyundai logo is replaced with a Genesis logo.

For the first time, the Genesis will have all-wheel drive. It's also got a ton of tech, including the ability to use Google Glass to remote start your car — if you're into that sort of thing. It'll be in dealers this spring with both a 5.0L V8 or a 3.8L V6.
