Definative proof that America will indeed settle for less: the Chevy Aveo, according to Paukert over at the road it would be impossible for a straightaway to run truly parallel to, is the best-selling subcompact in America right now. Don't get us wrong, we understand the appeal of good fuel economy and a low price. But people, listen up: the Aveo is the worst car on the market right now. It's terrible. It's horrid. It's awful. If we had Top Gear's budget we would do sick, sick, sick things to it. The only way that is tangibly better than a 1980s J-Car is that it doesn't have that 1.8L four that would rattle you to death at idle. God, this country is in worse shape than we thought.
