It might be a million dollar car nowadays, but that doesn't seem to stop Bob Sirna from getting the most out of it. It's all about how you look at it.

Mercedes-Benz made 1400 300SL coupes, so giving one the salt treatment only makes the world a better place. Hell, if I think about it, there were only 399 Ferrari Enzos and one still made it to Bonneville to do 238 mph.

That's just what the salt in Utah does to people.

Remember: rare cars are still just cars. And as such, they like to be driven.

I don't think Gullwings unless they are race models have quite reached the million dollar range yet. However I remember when my dad traded a 1911 EMF, worth about $4k in the '60s even-over for one. Wish he'd kept it long enough for me to get my license but sadly he sold in in '74 right before prices spiked. Now all I have is a set of keys and the factory M-B service manual which for some reason didn't go with the car.
