What was the greatest innovation in the car world this past year?
I don't want to limit this to simply technical developments, though I remain absolutely floored by the surprising packaging gains afforded by Mercedes' all-conquering split turbo setup that helped the team dominate this year's F1 season.
There have been all kinds of interesting new approaches taken in the car world, from how we buy cars, to how we regulated them, link our phones with them, carve corners on trackdays with them.
What do you think is the greatest idea, the greatest innovation of the car world in 2014?
