What The Diesel Hybrid Convertible Subaru BRZ Would Look Like If It Wasn't A Joke

Even if it came a few days early, I think most of us got a big kick out Subaru's April Fool's Joke last night when they announced they would be making a turbo diesel hybrid convertible BRZ with all-wheel-drive. But what would this kitchen-sink approach to sports car manufacturing look like if it was real?

Because our friends at Autoemo were kind enough to cook up this render for us, now we know. It's not far off from the forthcoming Scion FR-S convertible, but there are some fun touches here, like the Boxer Diesel badge on the back and the decal on the gas cap.

Makes you wonder how much this bad boy would cost if it were real. I'd put it pretty close to $40,000 with all that stuff on it. Any thoughts? And would you want one if it wasn't a joke?
