Selling a car is a big process; you have to get your car looking nice, you have to write a semi-legible ad, and you have to deal with all the scammers looking for a test drive.
If we were selling our car, one thing we would make sure to do is take a couple dozen pictures of the thing. Inside and out, under the hood, under the car if possible — show everything. All those pictures on the right column there makes it look like you've got nothing to hide, and puts you a step above all the other Craigslist listings.
What lessons have you learned when you sold your car? How do you prepare the car for sale, what works best in a car ad, and what do you need to know about transferring ownership?
