The Pikes Peak Hill Climb has been one of the most dangerous races in America for decades. Each year, cars tumble off the mountain. Sometimes, the drivers are insanely lucky and live to drive the Peak again. Other times, they aren't.

These guys were lucky.

Sometimes, weather plays a large role in making the course that much more dangerous. That's exactly what effected Valentin Ivanitski and Josh McGuckin during their run up the hill in a V8 powered Audi A4.

The higher and higher they went, the wetter it became, which meant they lost grip. They lose it quite a few times, but one hairpin bend really catches them out. They are sliding through it, but the car suddenly grips.

They were very fortunate to not fly right off the side of the mountain. Skip to 10:25 if you just want to see the crash.
