Switzer Performance built Red Katana — a souped up Nissan GT-R with 300 extra pounds of performance add ons — to be a drag strip slayer. Churning out 1,000 hp on pump gas, the street legal car puts out 1,300 horsepower at the wheels on race gas.
That's insanity.
On his second full pass in Red Katana, John Shepherd reached 163 mph, completing the run in 8.97 seconds. GT-Rs are pretty damn quick to begin with, but this blows stock, and even sort of stock GT-Rs out of the water.
