We’ve seen the 2015 Audi R18 before, but this is the first time we’re seeing it in its Le Mans configuration.... at 200+.
Audi has a thing for running Monza without its speed-cutting first chicane. The team just lets its cars shoot straight into the Curva Grande. This R18 is screaming along at 320 to 330 kp/h (198-205 mph), according to the guy who uploaded this test session video as in years past.
It’s amazing what Audi have done to get the car to work. Mulsanne’s Corner has a great analysis of the body, a wonder the cornering speeds it can achieve even in this low downforce spec.
