A twin turbo Honda V6 like the one in your Accord just got pole at the Daytona 24.
The Honda HR28TT (derived from the Honda J35 series of production engines and including the stock oil filter of all things) was stuffed in the middle of Michael Shank Racing's Ligier JS P2, if you're curious.
Racer reports that the pole lap was 1:39.194 set by Oswaldo Negri Jr., which is actually slower than last year's pole of 1:38.270 set by a rickety old school Daytona Prototype.
