Nothing makes us doubt our long-term sanity than looking at pictures of ourselves in acid-washed jeans slant-nose Porsche 911s of the 1980s. Back then, we thought the slant turbos were the coolest thing since the invention of the hood scoop. They didn't age well (just ask collectors). Now, Porsche tuner Auto-Expert has revealed a new, flat-nose Porsche (996) 911, layered in chrome-lacquer silver, that hearkens a body-panel kit to be available by the end of the year. The car is the culmination of "countless philosophical discussions." Let's hope none of them had to do with leg warmers.
