This is a Mazda RX-8 with a three-quarter drag chassis, and a three-rotor Wankel engine equipped with three turbochargers. It is a silly car, and it does silly things. For instance, it shoots many flames.
According to the car’s owner, as 1320 Video recorded in the above video posted by Bangshift, the car made 1,670 horsepower on the dyno and runs in the 6s.
Certainly there are many ways to get a drag car with that kind of performance, but none of them are this wonderfully, stupidly cool.
