The GT86 CS-R3 built by Toyota Motorsport GmbH in Germany will race in WRC3's R3 category as the only rear-wheel drive car, because oversteer is fun. This is the first onboard footage of it.
We're all very happy indeed: The GT86 CS-R3 has reached the testing phase in its development.
The R3's two-liter boxer engine's cam lift and compression ratio has been changed, and with their custom wiring looms and ECU, the final product is expected to deliver 240-250 horsepower. A sequential shift six-speed transmission and limited slip rear differential complete the rally package with an FIA-homologated safety cage.
The R3 will go live as a zero car in the Rallye Deutschland with Isolde Holderied behind the wheel on August 21 to 24th before going on sale in kit form next year.
Looks like a kit we would love to assemble...
