The word came down today, just as Toyota said it would last week. A Toyota Camry will join all the other jellybean-shaped nondescript racers on the Nextel Cup and Busch Grand National starting grids beginning in 2007. It's not the first Nascar entry for Toyota — in addition to the Craftsman Truck Series, which Toyota joined in 2004, it also ran a car in the Baby Nas, the four- and six-cylinder Goody's Dash Series in 2000. Expect the new guys to catch a load of hellfire from those unhappy with Toyota's auto industry juggernaut. Our advice to the Toyota team, keep an eye on your jock straps.
