Top Gear’s Success Is Thanks To This Pair Of Tattered Underpants

As some of you may know, Top Gear producer Andy Wilman has a pair of lucky underoos that he wears to secure his show its awards. Watch him try and repair them.

Wilman has been wearing his Calvins since the ‘90s, when he was jet setting around the world with Jeremy Clarkson on old Top Gear. When he and Clarkson put together the new format, Wilman wore his lucky pants every day in the studio to guarantee that the show would work.

Many awards and millions of pounds later, the show is an international hit, a 19th season is on its way (finally), and his underwear is in somewhat rude health.

May its elastic band never wear out.
