Yep. The General's pulling the plug on the Opel brand on the subcontinent, shoveling its resources into its big Chevrolet push, hot on the heels of the intro of the Aveo in India. Let's face it, the market for cars in India isn't the most exciting we've ever seen, but it's a potentially massive one for GM as the country works its way up the economic ladder. We're not sure of the rationale behind swapping an American brand for a European one in a market that seems more connected to Europe than it does the US. Then again, we weren't sure of the rationale behind wedging 300-horse smallblock into a front-drive car, either.
