Quite possibly the most absurd car in GT racing the world over, the Bentley Continental GT3 won at Silverstone against a field of Ferraris, Audi R8s, Aston Martins, and McLarens that are not lard-ass luxury coupes for the Paris Hiltons of the world.

This weekend was the Big Body Bentley's second race and first win in the Blaincpain Endurance Series, which is yet another GT racing series open to GT3 and GT4 class cars, as our class-by-class explainer explains.

The victory comes in large part because the Bentley Continental GT3 cars are very different from their road car siblings. The GT3 cars are built by M-Sport, the same company that builds Ford Fiesta World Rally Championship cars.

M-Sport took out 2,200 pounds from the road-going Bentley, and their twin-turbo V8 runs to the rear wheels alone. Check out the full specs on this car and how M-Sport builds this beast right here.

As Axis of Oversteer points out, Bentley managed to claw out a strong lead from one of the 12C McLarens, passing for position and beating the car on raw speed.

I can't help but adore this car.
