A C6 Corvette will do the quarter mile in the mid-high 12s. This 16,000 pound Volvo truck will do the quarter in the high 12s. I am impressed.

This is the truck we fiddle with in our spare time where I work. It's run a best of 12.79 in the quarter - it would have been a touch faster if the torque converter bolts hadn't sheared off at ~3/4 track. It's a stock 16L engine with big injectors, twin turbos, and a 'special' datafile in the ECU.

It's like watching a hippo charge. Something this big should not move this fast.
