There Are Rally Cars In Forza Horizon Now. Sweet.

You know what are cooler than regular road cars? Road cars turned into all-terrain race cars. Now you can get them in the new Forza Horizon Rally pack.

What's cool about this DLC is that it's not just an extra set of cars, it's a whole expansion of the game itself. There are new rally stages, there is a co-driver function that calls out the upcoming turns, and there are new rally-spec mods (tires, springs and dampers, and transmissions) you can fit on your cars. The whole thing costs 1,600 MS Points or $20 USD and it's on sale as of today.

The game now has more road textures, physics properties, and particle effects. The whole game is now better set up for driving off the pavement, which adds a lot to the game. You're in the wilds of Colorado after all.

Of course, everyone focuses on the cars, and they don't disappoint.

1982 Lancia 037 Stradale

The last championship-winning rally car with rear wheel drive. Both supercharged and turbocharged. The Lancia 037 is a Group B legend, and it looks sexy too. Win.

1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth

The Escort Cosworth was never a championship-winning car, but the road version was among the greatest homologation specials in rally history. Consequently, we love the car.

1992 Toyota Celica GT-Four RC ST185

For such a boring company, Toyota was one of the most interesting rally teams around in the ‘90s. The Celica after this one was famously banned for one of the most ingenious cheats in 30 years of motorsports. This one is still a 232 horsepower championship winner.

2005 Subaru Impreza WRX Sti

How do you not love Scoobies? Their rally reputation is so strong, there's a whole generation of kids who think these things are Australian cars.

2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR

For every Subaru, there is an Evo. Tit for tat, none better than the other.

2003 Ford SVT Focus

You only get this car if you have the Season Pass. Since these are all road-going homologation specials, you only get the 170 horsepower FWD car. We don't mind. These cars are great.

Can we get enough rally action? Probably not.
