Retro is very much with us now in car design, from the obvious Minis and Fiat 500s to the less apparent 2002-esque BMWs of recent years. The car that arguably led the charge was the 1995 Chrysler Atlantic concept.
Car Design News has the whole story on how the car was born (with Bob Lutz penning the first, unseen sketch) to how it evolved.
Like Car Design News, I'm not a huge fan of this design (as I've said before), but its historical significance is noteworthy.
