The Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic Is Land Rover's Hot Hatch

Up until now, I never totally understood Land Rover's need to call top-trim Range Rovers "Autobiography." What does a super-stretched and expensive Range Rover have to do with me? But now I think I'd like the Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic, a hot version of their littlest 'ute, a lot.

Destined for the Geneva Motor Show, the Evoque Autobio' takes a 285-horsepower version of the standard Evoque's 2.0-liter turbo four and mates it to a certain 9-speed automatic. In addition to that 45-horsepower bump, 295 lb.-ft. of torque is nothing to sneeze at.

What makes things "dynamic" is Torque Vectoring by Braking, as well as the upgraded front discs from the standard model. The new orange paint helps too.

If all of this sounds too much for you, the Evoque will come in a non-dynamic Autobiography version for 2015. It keeps the standard running gear and 240-horsepower engine, but adds fancier trim.

While it is uncertain right now if the U.S. gets a Dynamic version of the Evoque, it will be shown in full next month in Geneva.
