The alternate-universe Top Gear known as Amazon’s The Grand Tour appears to treat vehicles with the same tender loving care as Top Gear did. Which is to say zero care at all—as it should be.
“We broke the car” is a play straight out of Top Gear’s book, but let’s face it, that’s what the people want.
The people want to see Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May again.
They want to see a show that’s not gentle to its rentals, or anything else it gets its hand on—neither in treatment or review.
What the people want, the people get. (We hope.)
Top Gear Version 2, Part 2: 2 Fist 2 Face 2 Amazon debuts this fall on Amazon.
