Mercedes officially confirmed the existence of the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake. Anyone in the world could tell you it was going to happen, but Mercedes decided that only ze Germans should know about it.

The unveiling is currently exclusively on Mercedes-Benz's highly meticulous German-language website, but luckily we speak German and can get you the details.

The car gets the requisite 5.461 liter bi-turbo V8 that sends the 549 (410kW) horsepower and 590 lb-ft (800N*m) of torque to the rear wheels via the corporate-wide 7-speed gearbox. The curb weight is 1,955 kilos, or 4,310 pounds. It burns fuel at a rate of 10.1 liters for every 100 kilometers, or about 23 miles per gallon. The coefficient of drag is just 0.31! What did we tell you about the Germans being meticulous?
