The Chevy Spark EV Has More Torque Than A Ferrari 458

This is Chevy's new ad for the Spark EV, claiming their shopping car with some batteries has more torque than a Ferrari 458. Cute. Very cute.

I heard about this ad and thought I'd hate it, but it kind of works. The car looks cheery enough, and despite the boasty premise, the spot doesn't take itself too seriously.

It almost makes you forget the Spark EV is only being made to comply with Californian regulations that require the sale of no-emissions vehicles. If it was up to GM, I sort of doubt they'd ever even consider making this car.
