A little while back we saw the online debut of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage V600, a limited-run superspec car with the company’s big V12 and a manual transmission. Now it’s out in the real world and we didn’t realize that it is a widebody hulk of a car.
These shots come from Chris Harris, who is at Le Mans doing his usual thing. I presume this includes mostly:
- Yelling at Mike Spinelli on camera.
- Yelling at Mike Spinelli off camera.
- Talking to some buddy of his who is racing at Le Mans then getting interrupted by Mike Spinelli.
- Yelling more at Mike Spinelli, then hurling him into a well.
Chris points out that this is more than just a big power Aston, it’s more of a supersports-for-the-road concept, kind of like the ‘Touring’ models that Porsche has been up to, or maybe like a wingless GT2, if Porsche were to make such a thing.
The staff is split on the hood vents on the car. By that I mean, I think they are cool and good and everyone else covered me in silly string.
In any case, I am glad that this Aston is shaped like an English Bulldog, like a patty of horsepower.
