The 2011 Ford Mustang V6 puts out 305 horsepower stock, making it a a true performance bargain. But is it tunable? Watch this 12-second V6 pony scream out "yes" in a warm-up burnout.

ProCharger's taken the twin-cam 3.7-liter V6, bolted on a supercharger, and dialed up eight pounds of boost. The $5K upgrade boosts power to 427-hp at the wheels, or somewhere in the 475-485 hp range at the crank.

The result is a 12.56 quarter-mile time this weekend on drag radials, which was enough to keep pace with the possibly-modded Camaro in the other lane and bring it inline with the V8 Mustang GT. I've taken a V6 'Stang to the drag strip and the best I could do was a mid 14-second time, but that was in a convertible on street tires with the 2.73 rear axle as opposed to the performance-oriented 3.31.

Consider the price of a non-GT Mustang and the cost of the upgrade it'll give you something a little sleeper and a little lighter to do battle with a growing crop of V6 ponies doing battle.
