Today we saw that people have been calling carmakers on their bullshit for no less than 180 years. It seems like nothing changes in the car world.
The writer Junius Redivivius actually writes some straightforward and witty critiques of the car. Though the style of the criticism has changed, its nature is still what we see today. Carmakers still keep piling on bullshit as well, as we are reminded by the ongoing saga of Super Replicas.
McMike imagines that Redivivius' automotive world of 1833 may have been even more similar than all of that.
