Hey look, BMW make an ugly coupe-looking SUV monstrosity and now Mercedes-Benz has its rival! The alphabet soup GLC-Class Coupe. It’s still not a coupe! The new Miata is also still not a coupe. What gives?
I have very few words to say about this particular vehicle beyond the fact that I see no reason to purchase it over a regular GLC-Class, which happens to be a very sporting-looking and handsome-enough crossover, family hauler thing. Why did they have to get weird with it?
Well they did! And it will come with two options; the GLC300 4MATIC has a turbo-four cylinder good for 241 hp, and the Mercedes-AMG (but not an AMG) GLC43 Coupe has a bi-turbo V6 making 362 hp—both connected to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Both variants come available with an optional Sport package, Night package, and if you want to pay more money you can get some AMG design cues on your GLC300. For safety all models get Crosswind Assist, active braking assist, and attention assist.
