Race Car Driver Interviews Are Terrible

Screencap via YouTube

We love racing drivers for the countless hours of amusement they provide in the car. Out of the car is sometimes another story.

Fortunately, Donut Media distilled these interviews into their clearest, most precise form.

In fairness, it’s hard to come up with things to say on the spot, particularly when a PR handler would prefer you not say anything potentially offensive to the #brands.

Unless you’re going to give us the dish on who smelled like stale Cajun McChicken sandwiches and feet in the drivers’ meeting, or who’s ass is grass as soon as you drop by the stewards with a protest, maybe just keep it to a simple “um.” “Uh” works well, too. This will save us all a lot of time, save for a few times where the reporter is particularly persistent. Thanks in advance!
