Something we noticed in Detroit last winter: people think of nothing of driving at 90mph on icy roads in vehicles with high centers of gravity. And while we love us some hoonage, our Sunbelt sensibilities left us feeling a little worried. Still, you can't stop the SUV loons, you can only hope to contain them. But the same spirit of adventure that leads people to buy sport-utes apparently leads them to drive the vehicles very, very fast. This single-Navigator accident on I-96 is graphic evidence of what happens when any car is pushed beyond its handling and braking limits. [Thanks to Pete for the tip.]
