My wife was sure this song was about a 1969 Chevrolet Apollo, but that nameplate didn’t appear until 1973. The lyrics sort of seem like they’re talking about a car, but I’m pretty sure this is referring to the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing. That Chevy SS up there is just to confuse you.
