For the first time in its history, Honda assembled more vehicles in the United States than it did in Japan.

During the April-June quarter, the Japanese automaker said its U.S. output was 236,819 vehicles. It produced 236,559 vehicles in Japan during the same period.

Honda's come a long way since the automaker initially began building dirt bikes in the United States in Marysville, Ohio, in 1979. But maybe if they could work on making a small percentage of those vehicles they build here as exciting as those first motorcycles, we could be a bit more excited this news.
