Tires have been particularly tricky in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway this time around, and one of the recent victims was the Monster Energy car of Kurt Busch. If Monster hasn’t made a figurative bang as the new title sponsor so far, well, it has now—literally.
This was the second incident of the day for Busch, who got loose and wrecked into Brad Keselowski in the first turn off of a restart earlier on. The race was over for Keselowski after that one, but Busch was able to keep going... for a few laps. Then, this happened:

The tire explosion destroyed all of the sheet metal in its general vicinity on Busch’s car, sending him to the garage for the rest of the race.
