Before fire crews had even arrived, this Chinese Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 had already burned to the ground, possibly during an illegal street race.
The whole episode happened on Sunday afternoon in the city of Shenzhen, next to Hong Kong. The fire spread very quickly from just behind the cabin. The driver made it out unharmed, though the car was turned into little more than a massive plume of black smoke. Beijing residents would recognize this smoke as “regular air.”
The excellent CarNewsChina reports that some unnamed Chinese media outlets claim the fires started while the car was running in a street race on the busy downtown street.
