I first heard this song, like, five or six years ago, and I would've had it on regular rotation since then if my computer hadn't crashed, making me lose all the music on my hard drive. I eventually recovered most of my collection, but somehow missed this particular powerpoppy single.
A few months back, the chorus for this song popped into my head. I couldn't understand the words, I didn't know the band name, I didn't know the year of production, and I didn't even know the country of origin.
I scoured every website I used to check for every single song made in Sweden (I assumed I this song was some Swedish powerpop). This took a while, since one site I check for powerpop is run by a guy in Sweden. Since I couldn't recognize any of the titles, I had to listen to every song just to be sure.
Nothing turned up from Sweden, nothing turned up from Norway, but when I finally checked isksp.blogspot.com for Finnish music, there it was!
The song is just as catchy as I remember it, and I feel extra pleased with its Finnishness given that videos are still coming out of the recent jumpy, crashy, high-speed Rally Finland.
Now I just have to figure out what any of the words mean.
