Belarus police found out how hard is it to stop a truck driver on the run. It took at least 80 shots to bring a four-axle car carrier to a halt after a long and wild chase last Sunday.
Index-Press reports that a 30-year-old driver of a car carrier had three accidents while driving on the way to Minsk and then refused to stop for the police.
The trucker then led the cops on a chase for over 90 miles (150km). The cops fired an estimated 80 shots aiming at the wheels, trying to bring the truck to a stop.
Flat and blown tires didn't end the chase — the cops riddled the truck's gas tank with enough holes that the driver eventually ran out of fuel.
No one was hurt in the incident, and the driver was safely taken away in handcuffs. Index-Press reports he was likely drunk.
