Law enforcement officials in Illinois are seeking the public’s help in finding a Southern Illinois University student missing since Monday morning who had been trying to sell his car, a red Nissan 350Z, on Craigslist.
TV station KSDK reports that Taylor S. Clark, 19, hasn’t been seen since 10:30 a.m. Monday in Madison County, just after he finished finals at Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. Investigators say Clark had spoken with at least one party regarding the sale of his 2007 350Z.
Cell phone records place Clark’s phone in the area of The Mills Outlet Mall in Hazelwood, Missouri on Monday morning about an hour after he was last seen. Both Clark and his Z have not been seen since.
Clark is described by police as 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 190 pounds with light hair and a beard. Clark has no past history of disappearances or any major medical conditions, officials said. His Z’s Illinois license plate is P84 5960.
Anyone with information about his disappearance or location is asked to call the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 618-692-4433, the investigation line at 618-692-0871, or the anonymous tip line at 618-296-3000. Anyone who sees his Z should probably call 911.
Update: Clark’s 350Z has been found, but he hasn’t, according to news reports. It was found at an office park, but no other details were available.
Update 5/6: Clark has been found dead of apparent gunshot wounds.
