Shortly after a water main broke in the Port Lands of Toronto, Ontario, the local transit authority was quick on the scene—but it was too late! The streets had snarled the worker’s car in a sinkhole, slowly devouring it as onlookers helplessly shouted, “It’s going down!”
Here’s video of the tragedy from CityNews Toronto:
The Toronto Transit Commission supervisor was driving through the area to check if transit services needed to be rerouted following the water main breaking, and thought they were driving into a puddle, according to CityNews. I think they got their answer. Luckily, they were able to make it out of the car before things went south.
