How many people fit in an Indian-market microcar?

Fourteen people just got out of that car. It's an Indian-built Maruti-Suzuki 800 and it's just under 11 feet long at 131.5 inches. That's just under a foot longer than an original Mini.

Here in America, this car would be classified as a four seater, with some ink spilled over how little room there is for the people in the back. In India's northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, nestled in the Himalayas, people are thin enough and cars are expensive enough that this city car will have to fit a very full family.
