You have to admire the intense focus some people are able to devote to driving, but when you hit a guy on a delivery trike and he crashes through your windshield, the polite thing to do is at least acknowledge his presence. That's a lesson a 20-year old Wisconsin man needs to learn.

Steven Gove was the man on the pedal-powered delivery trike, and managed to keep remarkably composed for a man just hit by a 90s Honda Civic Coupe, saying to the driver "Hello, I'm the guy you hit on the bicycle."

The driver didn't acknowledge the victim at all, even as he was hanging there, body inside the car up to his knees. A well-mannered driver would have at least said "Hello, I'm the driver that struck you. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Where may I drop you off?" or at least lightened the mood with a little humor, responding "Oh! You're the guy I hit? I expected you to be taller."

Eventually, after hitting a couple of parked cars and running a stop sign, the driver parked in front of his house, when he finally managed to notice the grown-ass man dangling through his windshield. He finally did respond, saying "Who are you? What are you doing in the car?" These are, of course, great questions to ask. And then, "I'm going to jail, I'm going to jail."

Luckily, Gove wasn't seriously injured, being treated for cuts and glass in his eyes. The driver was treated for a serious cut on his hand, and is facing hit-and-run charges, failure to administer aid, and a stunning possibility of driving under the influence of something.
