Were you wondering where all those next-gen Saturns were going to come from? Wonder no longer, it's R sselsheim, home of GM's European brand and Saturn model doner, Adam Opel. The company opened its new European Design Center in the city this week — expanding the General's European design operations to 20,000 square feet's worth of ponytailed men in black turtlenecks quoting Wittgenstein (at least in our mind's eye). The facility will employ 350 such folks, who will be working on projects for Opel, Saturn, Saab and Vauxhall. That means you know who to blame for the next, say, Astra-amino.
[Update: Left Lane News muses on what might be under those pink car covers.]
