As most business types know, the Fortune 500 is that magazine's annual list of the biggest and boldest 'merican companies. This year two US automakers remain quite large and somewhat in charge. The #3 company, behind Wal-Mart and ExxonMobil, is none other than the world's largest automaker, General Motors. Coming in at a much lower #7 is everyone's favorite automaker with a talent for losing money, Ford. Both companies are still ranked top 10 despite taking head-throbbing losses this year. And hey, on at least one other list FoMoCo even beats out the General. Way to go FoMoCo!
