Bill Ford insists his family's fortune will be safe in overseas hands next year, with non-US operations, including members of its Premier Automotive Group (which always sounded to us like it should be a dealership franchise on Long Island, not a collection of chi chi OEMs) set to see profits in '06. That means while Ford will continue to struggle in the US, Volvo, Jaguar, Aston Martin, and Land Rover will flourish. Oh wait, did we say Jaguar — his projections are still weak on Jaguar, which will drag PAG into the red for 2005, but may only drag it to the brink for '06.
