Jaguar Aiming for Porsche's Space

Jaguar is reportedly recasting itself as a niche maker of high-margin cars by cutting output while carefully orienting its line toward profitable vehicles, like its XK Coupe. As Edmunds Inside Line reports, the company shelved a reported Freelander-based crossover in favor of a Cayenne challenger, and may be considering a supercar and a luxury four-seater like the Mercedes CLS. It looks like Ford's holistic plan to reverse the fortunes of its Premier Automotive Group of luxury brands finally made it to Jaguar. With Volvo, Aston and Land Rover looking better these days, we'd been wondering when Jaguar would get the same treatment.
