The Porsche 919 Hybrid finished its debut race in third place after battling for six hours in the World Endurance Championship at Silverstone.

The team of Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Mark Webber reached the podium after 165 laps, 24 minutes before the planned six hours since the race got red flagged because of heavy rain. But that's England for you.

Of the two 919s, it was Webber's that made it home behind the safety car while the sister car had to retire after 85 minutes because of a technical problem. Having said that, Audi was nowhere to be seen as both the overall victory and second place went to Toyota, with the Lola B12/60 - Toyota at fourth place and the LMP2 Morgan - Nissan at fifth.

The #2 Audi R18 e-tron quattro's race ended after just three hours, while the #1 was even less fortunate stopping in the 55th minute.

Le Mans is going to be very exciting this year!
