Coupe Cabrio Pickup Concept to Debut in Geneva

Talk about a niche vehicle. Italian design firm Fioravanti created this conceptual coupe-cabrio-pickup, which it plans to show in Geneva, from a Fiat Punto Grande. Best known as the company that created the Ferrari Superamerica's wacky folding roof, Fioravanti used the same technology in the Punto, adding a folding tailboard that allows the car to be used as a pickup. Fiat expects to sell more than 360,000 Puntos in 2006, and plans to expand the platform to include such specialty models as a coupe-convertible, though the pickup part won't likely make it past antipasto stages.
